Our story begins in the 1980s and it is above all the story of Sabato Bruno, who in the space of 35 years has transformed a small pastry shop in Castel San Giorgio, near Salerno, into a large croissanterie company specialized in the food service market: San Giorgio Dolce & Salato.
With commitment and dedication, the original tiny pastry kitchen has become a factory that produces excellence: Sabato’s passion, which is fully shared by his sons Antonino and Ivan, and our production facilities and cutting edge conservation techniques have been and continue to be the cornerstone of the company’s constant growth.
The customer and his needs in a constantly changing market, remain, as a matter of fact, lie at the core of the Bruno family’s attention, which has ceaselessly striven to constantly renew its catalogue and keep San Giorgio’s customers happy and satisfied. The rest is the result of a quality service and an always efficient customer service.
The quality of San Giorgio products is guaranteed both by the highest international standards of food safety, the BRC for food safety and the IFS, as well as by the rigorous application and methodical procedures and instructions in the quality assurance manual, prepared in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 standards. The H.A.C.C.P. self-control system has been specifically prepared for each production line and follows the provisions set forth by the current EC Regulation No. 852/2004. Product traceability and demands for the same by the market is ensured by the application of EC Regulation No. 178/2002.
Today San Giorgio offers a wide-ranging variety of products, the outcome of the work and research done by of a team of 150 people and boasts of facilities with 15 production lines, 6,000 pallet spots and a truck fleet capable of guaranteeing thorough distribution coverage throughout Italy.
The industrialization process has not, however, affected the quality of our products in any way, which have kept their artisan soul and genuine flavors: little masterpieces of taste that respect tradition but which are able to meet the needs arising from change in the domestic and international marketplace.
